In a nutshell
Kalart is a very unique project in the coliving ecosystem as we are the first hybrid coliving experience in Europe.
We designed a community with a two modalities of stay: short-term (1-6 months) and long-term (+1 year). And we became an on-going 15 residents rural coliving.
We're a family of entrepreneurs and creatives striving for change within ourselves and the world around us.
OUR STORY
Kalart began in 2018 when Noemi & Roger transformed an old farm house in the Montseny Valley into Catalonia's first coliving space in the countryside.
Their vision was simple but powerful: create a place where creative minds could come together and work on meaningful projects in harmony with nature.
Previously they had also launched projects in tourism, holistic wellness, and education. These experiences, in combination with our many years of travelling, allowed Kalart to become the multi-faceted social organisation that it is today.
The space continues to evolve with its residents, who share a commitment to personal growth and positive impact, incorporating sustainable living practices, and holistic wellbeing into everyday life.
OUR MISSION
Kalart was founded on three core principles:
Work-life balance
We work and enjoy life in equal measure. Living in the sunny Spanish countryside means balancing screen time with climbing mountains or going out for tapas and wine.
Inspiring change-makers
We help people to develop projects. From social impact projects to creative pursuits, Kalart is a base camp to work towards your goals with advice from experts.
Local & social impact
The local community is our extended family. You can network with creatives and entrepreneurs from 13 nationalities at cultural and professional events.
LOCATED IN THE SPANISH COUNTRYSIDE
Our village in the Montseny Valley (Catalonia) is a multicultural hub made up of 13 different nationalities. It's an off-the-beaten-path hub of culture and creativity surrounded by lush mountains with sun all year round.
Plus, we're only 40km from Barcelona and 50km from Girona, so beaches and city attractions are closeby.
